Privacy Policy (Palio)

This Privacy Policy explains how Palio (the “App”) handles information when you use it. The App is developed and provided by Habib Yagiz Demir (“we”, “us”, “our”).

Summary

• Most of the information you enter (transactions, categories, budgets, notes, settings) is stored on your device and may sync via iCloud if you have iCloud enabled.
• The App can send limited usage and device information to third-party services used for paywalls/subscriptions and analytics (where enabled).
• We do not sell your personal information.

Information you provide

The App lets you enter and store:

• Transactions (e.g., amount, date, category, notes/details).
• Categories and budgets you create or edit.
• App preferences (e.g., selected currency, theme, reminder preference/time).

Information collected automatically

Depending on your device settings and which features you use, the App (or third-party SDKs used by the App) may collect:

• App usage events (e.g., screens viewed, taps, feature usage).
• Device and app information (e.g., device model, OS version, language/region, app version, time zone).
• Approximate location derived from IP address (typical for internet-based services).

Notifications (Reminders)

If you enable reminders:

• The App requests notification permission.
• The reminder time you select is stored on-device.
• Notifications are scheduled locally on your device. You can disable reminders at any time in the App or in iOS Settings.

iCloud / CloudKit sync

The App may store and sync your app data using Apple’s iCloud/CloudKit if available on your device. This helps keep your data consistent across devices signed into the same Apple ID.

• Apple may process and store this data as part of providing iCloud/CloudKit.
• We do not access your iCloud account password, and we do not receive your iCloud contents directly.

Subscriptions and purchases

The App may display paywalls and support in-app purchases/subscriptions.

• Purchases are processed by Apple via the App Store.
• The App may use a paywall/subscription service provider (e.g., SuperwallKit) to present paywalls and determine subscription status.

How we use information

We use information to:

• Provide core features (tracking, reporting, budgeting).
• Sync data (when iCloud is enabled).
• Send reminders you request (notifications).
• Improve reliability and user experience (e.g., understand which features are used, troubleshoot issues).
• Provide support when you contact us.

Sharing and third parties

We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate the App, such as:

• Apple (App Store, iCloud/CloudKit, notifications infrastructure).
• Paywall/subscription provider(s) (e.g., SuperwallKit).
• Analytics provider(s) (e.g., Mixpanel; Firebase may also be included in the app build).

These providers may process device/usage information to deliver their services. We do not share the contents of your transactions with third parties for advertising purposes.

Data retention

Your app data is retained until you delete it. Some features (for example, a currency reset) may remove stored data by design after you confirm.

Third-party providers may retain event/device data for a period of time according to their policies.

Your choices and controls

You can:

• Add, edit, and delete transactions and categories at any time.
• Disable iCloud sync by changing your device iCloud settings (if applicable).
• Enable/disable reminders in the App, and manage notification permissions in iOS Settings.
• Delete the App to remove local data from your device (iCloud data may remain per your iCloud settings).

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. Please use device security features (passcode/Face ID) to protect access to your device.

Children’s privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top indicates when it was last updated.
